Periodic Table of Cupcakes

My dear friend Karen is celebrating a birthday today. She’s a middle school math and science teacher, and loves all things Mathy and/or Science-y. So, for her birthday this year, I made her a Periodic Table of...Cupcakes!

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I apologize in advance for the poor quality of these snapshots. I had a hard time fitting the entire table into the frame of the shot, and that last pic was taken late at night (I finished around 11:30pm), so the lighting is terrible.

Also, I'm well aware that the icing letters for each element look as though they were written by a person who is using their non-dominant hand. I had not idea squeezing frosting out of a can could be so challenging. Definitely not one of my strengths!

Hydrogen, Lithium, Sodium, Beryllium, Magnesium.

Silver & Gold

Me last night, in my PJs, posing with the table.

You can read Karen's reaction here.
